Lantern Sol is looking for a part-time CRO Specialist to support our Shopify and eCommerce clients. This person will provide the deeper CRO expertise behind each account.
They will analyze customer and website data, develop testing hypotheses, guide experiment planning, evaluate results, and help communicate the business impact of the work to clients.
Each account will still have a Lantern Sol project manager responsible for the overall relationship, timelines, and coordination. Our internal design and development teams will handle execution. The CRO Specialist will own the strategy, analysis, and interpretation that guide the work.
What You’ll Do
- Complete initial CRO audits using data from GA4, Shopify, testing platforms, heatmaps, session recordings, and other available sources.
- Compare data across platforms to identify conversion issues, customer behavior patterns, and areas of opportunity.
- Participate in recurring ideation sessions with project managers, designers, and developers.
- Turn findings and ideas into clear, testable hypotheses.
- Build and prioritize testing plans based on potential impact, available traffic, confidence, and level of effort.
- Recommend an appropriate testing cadence for each client rather than applying the same process to every account.
- Plan tests across different areas of the customer journey, such as the homepage, navigation, product pages, cart, and checkout.
- Help structure simultaneous tests appropriately so results remain accurate and clients are not exposed to conflicting experiments.
- Define the audience, success metrics, and measurement approach for each test.
- Review experiment results and determine whether a hypothesis was confirmed, denied, or requires another iteration.
- Translate both positive and negative test results into useful insights and clear next steps.
- Estimate the potential business impact of test results using conversion rate, traffic, average order value, and projected revenue.
- Update client reporting with results, screenshots, findings, and recommendations.
- Join client calls when needed to explain testing strategy or present results.
- Help Lantern Sol improve and document a consistent CRO process that can scale across accounts.
- Use AI tools to support analysis, ideation, and reporting while applying independent judgment to the final recommendations.
You’re a Great Fit If You…
- Have hands-on experience as a CRO strategist or specialist for Shopify, D2C, or eCommerce brands supporting multiple CRO clients.
- Experience with Intelligems or similar Shopify experimentation platforms, creating and evaluating A/B or split tests.
- Understand testing methodology, audience segmentation, sample size, statistical significance, and common factors that can make results unreliable.
- Can work across GA4, Shopify Analytics, and CRO testing platforms to build a more complete view of performance.
Know how to turn data into focused hypotheses and practical testing plans. - Can prioritize several testing opportunities without running overlapping experiments that compromise the results.
- Experience creating or presenting client-facing CRO reports: You know how to frame an unsuccessful experiment as a useful learning rather than simply reporting it as a loss.
- Can explain data and testing results clearly to clients and team members who may not have a CRO background.
- Are comfortable collaborating with project managers, designers, and developers without needing to manage the entire account.
- Are organized, responsive, and able to support multiple accounts in a remote agency environment.
- Nice to Have
